hari hari! āra kobe pālaṭibe daśā?
e sab koriyā vāme, yābo vṛndāvana dhāme,
ei mone koriyāchi āśā

হরি হরি! আর কবে পালটিবে দশা?
এ সব করিয়া বামে, যাব বৃন্দাবন ধামে,
এই মনে করিয়াছি আশা

हरि हरि! आर कबे पालटिबे दशा?
ए सब करिया वामे, याबो वृन्दावन धामे,
एइ मने करियाछि आशा
translation 1

When will I renounce all material impediments and go to Vrndavana-dhama? O Lord Hari, Lord Hari, when will my life change in this way? I hope I will be able to change my mode of living in this way.

verse 2
dhana jana putra dāre, ei sab koriyā dūre,
ekānta hoiyā kobe yābo
sab duḥka parihari, vṛndāvane vāsa kori,
mādhukarī māgiyā khāibo

ধন জন পুত্র দারে, এই সব করিয়া দূরে,
একান্ত হইয়া কবে যাব
সব দুঃখ পরিহরি, বৃন্দাবনে বাস করি,
মাধুকরী মাগিয়া খাইব

धन जन पुत्र दारे, एइ सब करिया दूरे,
एकान्त हइया कबे याबो
सब दुःख परिहरि, वृन्दाबने वास करि,
माधुकरी मागिया खाइबो

When will I leave all my wealth, followers, children, and wife far behind and with only one desire, go to Vrndavana? When will I leave all material miseries, and live in Vrndavana, eating only whatever food I can obtain by begging?

verse 3
yamunāra jala yeno, amṛta samāna heno,
kobe pibo udara pūriyā
kobe rādhākuṇḍa jale, snāna kori kutūholi,
śyāmakuṇḍa rahibo poḍiyā

যমুনার জল যেন, অমৃত সমান হেন,
কবে পিব উদর পূরিয়া
কবে রাধাকুণ্ড জলে, স্নান করি কুতূহলী,
শ্যামাকুণ্ড রহিব পড়িয়া

यमुनार जल येन, अमृत समान हेन,
कबे पिबो उदर पूरिया
कबे राधाकुण्ड जले, स्नान करि कुतूहली,
श्यामाकुण्ड रहिबो पड़िया

When will I take long drinks of the Yamuna's water, which is as sweet as nectar? When, with great happiness, will I bathe at Radha-kunda? When will I permanently reside at Syama-kunda?

verse 4
bhramibo dvādaśa vane, rasa keli ye ye sthāne,
premāveśe gaḍāgaḍi diyā
sudhāibo jane jane, vrajavāsigaṇa sthāne
nivedibo caraṇe dhariyā

ভ্রমিব দ্বাদশ বনে, রাস কেলি যে যে স্থানে,
প্রেমাবেশে গড়াগড়ি দিয়া
সুধাইব জনে জনে, ব্রজবাসীগণ স্থানে
নিবেদিব চরণে ধরিয়া

भ्रमिबो द्वादश वने, रास केलि ये ये स्थाने,
प्रेमावेशे गड़ागड़ि दिया
सुधाइबो जने जने, व्रजवासीगण स्थाने
निवेदिबो चरणे धरिया

When will I wander in the twelve forests of Vrndavana, where Lord Krsna enjoyed nectar pastimes, and when, overwhelmed with ecstastic love, will I roll about in the dust of these places? When will I become pure in heart? When will I offer obeisances to all the residents of Vraja, reverently touching their lotus feet?

bhojanera sthāna kobe, nayana gocara hobe,
āra yoto āche upavana
tāra madhye vṛndāvana, narottama dāsera mana,
āśā kore yugala caraṇa

ভোজনের স্থান কবে, নয়ন গোচর হবে,
আর যত আছে উপবন
তার মধ্যে বৃন্দাবন, নরোত্তম দাসের মন,
আশা করে যুগল চরণ

भोजनेर स्थान कबे, नयन गोचर हबे,
आर यतो आछे उपवन
तार मध्ये वृन्दावन, नरोत्तम दासेर मन,
आशा करे युगल चरण
translation 5

When will I be able to see the gardens of Vrndavana where the great devotees worshipped the Lord? Narottama dasa hopes to one day attain the lotus feet of the Divine Couple.
